The Greasby Fund has been established in memory of the Chattanooga Bach Choir’s founding artistic director to help underwrite performers (singers and instrumentalists) featured in Bach Choir concerts.

This fund supports Chattanooga Bach Choir concerts including the Masterworks and Cantata Series.

Mark Reneau has served as the concertmaster for nearly the entire forty-year history of the Chattanooga Bach Choir, beginning under founding director J. James Greasby in the 1980’s. In recognition of Mark’s contribution to the choir over the decades, the Chattanooga Bach Choir Board is undertaking the funding of the concertmaster chair in Mark’s honor. The endowment of this chair is another step in securing the financial position of the Chattanooga Bach Choir for the future. This is an important expression of thanks to Mark and is an opportunity to honor the legacy he has helped build in the musical fabric of Chattanooga. No gift is too small to participate in this recognition.
